From there, I did more birds, and then some bugs. Somewhere around March or April I posted my work on Facebook and the resulting encouragement inspired me to think that *maybe* this could lead somewhere.
Those of you who know me well know that this has turned into an all-consuming side venture that I not-at-all out of desperation refer to as my 'escape plan.'
I have been so busy creating and learning about the business and marketing side of things that I've had little time to reflect on the 'journey' so far. I do know that I really love it-- all the stress, anxiety and moments of self-doubt and insecurity I've experienced pale in comparison to the sheer fun & excitement of the creative process.
I participated in a few small craft shows in December, which were great learning experiences. While I had mixed success due to location and turnout, I met some truly amazing fellow vendors and had a great time just chatting and connecting with customers and people passing through.
